Comes the Dawn

After a while you learn the difference
between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't mean security,
and you understand that lives aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises,
and you begin to accept your defeats,
with your head held high and your eyes open,
with the grace of a woman and not the grief of a child.

You learn to build your roads on today
because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain
for plans, and futures have a way of falling
down in midnight.

After a while you learn that even
sunshine hurts if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate
your own soul, instead of waiting for someone
to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure
that you really are strong
and you do have worth
and you learn and learn
and you learn.

By Jim Davis

I choose today to free my soul of greed, anger and jealousy. I forgive those who have done me wrong... and I am open to anything the universe has to offer me.

Super blahhh

I admit I like watching sports, but the Super Bowl, in my opinion isn't exciting to watch. I was over at my friend's house watching the game. It ended up being a small get together with five people. We had barbecue ribs and the boys enjoyed their beer. To my amazement even some of the guys commented on the fact that the game is boring, yet people must have a party when the Super Bowl is on. I wonder if this is due to the hype created by the media... okay so the secret is out I took film studies in University. Regardless of why people watched the game or had the Super Bowl Party... in the end the Indianapolis Colts won 29 -17 against the Chicago Bears.

Warm welcome

When you leave your home town for more than a year, things change. People get new jobs, get married and have babies.
My friend Jessica is now the proud mother of little Jillian. Her smile is adorable and she's an active child... I guess you have to be when your mom competes in Ironman competitions.
It was great spending time with this little bundle of joy and I hope I get to babysit her.
Hmmm seeing this little munchkin makes me want to become a "latte mama" an expression made popular by my friend Diana.
Hope Sweden is treating you well D!

Purpose of my blog

My blog is intended to be for my friends and family. I understand that it is out here on the Web for all to read, and that is why I do not include all my personal information.
For the very few of you who are not in my circle of friends, and who read my blog in order to "spy" on me!
GET A LIFE....

I think it's a shame that you are so insecure about your own life...
